The Good, The Bad and The Ugly...

A package arrived today from Hong Kong. I wasted no time opening the box to pull out the good stuff. Mmmmm, bubble wrap. It took a while to pop all the bubbles but who can resist squeezing those tempting nipples? Ahem... Moving on...

The bust itself came in a sleek looking box that shows off the bust details and the Three Laws of Robotics printed on the back.

Sonny was pretty heavy and feels solidly built. And like the movie version, the skin is translucent revealing the skull. The back of the head is detachable and it shows off the positronic brain which, when lit, glows a soothing blue.

The blue LED is powered by a 9 volt battery. The box says 'batteries not included' but they were kind enough to put in a battery before shipping it off to us.

The detailing is excellent, from the blue eyes down to the spine and the 'muscles', and the numbered metal plaque at the back is a nice touch as well.

All in all, I'd say it was worth every penny. The only thing left for me to do is look for a place for it.

The cable thieves in our area has struck again. This time, they took out the PLDT cables leaving several blocks without telephones. At least, PLDT was able to restore most of the connections the following day.

A number of residents have already filed complaints with their local barangay chairs urging them to do something about these mofos. Maybe a lynching if they're caught, like what they did several to thieves down in Cavite.

I was having trouble sleeping last night so I tried watching TV for a bit to while away the time. I flipped it to ANC and saw that there was something ugly happening in Congress. One congressman was shouting at the top of his lungs trying to make a point across over the banging of the gavel. I was half-expecting fists to start flying, but no such luck. We still have a lot to learn from the Taiwanese and South Koreans, hell, even the Mexicans.

And no, that time when an aging congressman slapped the Sargeant-at-Arms a while back doesn't count.
